Architectural Features

A unique cave entrance in the gardens at Rombauer Vineyards is reminiscent of the antique bending tanks. This structure was poured monolithically and features a deep wood grain pattern and acid stain finish.

This structural fireplace was inspired by the work of Bernard Maybeck; featuring alternating wood-grain relief bands and battered flue that doubles center ridge support. From the base of the fireplace to the top of the chimney is over 33 feet (10 meters).

Fig leaves dropped in a random pattern on the surface of a pool deck and wrap down the sides of the coping; concentrated in the corner and thinning out across the pool, gives the impression of having blown in from the orchard.
